Dear
parents, teachers and friends,
We
are happy to welcome you to the "US Youth Chinese Poetry Illustration
Contest" event.
Based
on the concept of “Helping Chinese-learning students realize the special charm
and deep meaning of Chinese literature, and “Improving the artistic atmosphere
and humanities knowledge of the American-Chinese community”, Ecoheart Art
Society and Meihua Literati, both non-profit organizations, are proud to host
the “US Youth Chinese Poetry Illustration Contest”.
This
contest not only provides an unique opportunity to your kid to practice and enjoy Chinese characters,
but also to show his/her painting talent as well.
To
create the most unforgettable memories for all winners, other than a trophy and
cash prize, the winning entries will also be featured in a public exhibition,
and published in a book that includes the names and biographies of their art
teachers whom instructed them to do these artworks.
The
event has begun and currently accepting entries. Please check the rules of
making the artwork and entry before start work. We welcome all kids to attend
this contest.

親愛的家長、老師和朋友們:
很高興能在〈詩藝之星-全美青少年華文詩詞插畫大賽〉活動平台與你見面。
美華文學 (Meihua Literati)
和天心藝術綠生活學社(Ecoheart Green Art Society) 禀持著「為讓學習中文的學子領略中華文字的魅力和豐富的內涵」的宗旨，以及「協助和增進北美華裔社區的人文氛圍與素養」 的願景，共同攜手策劃舉辦〈詩藝之星-全美青少年華文詩詞插畫大賽(US Youth Chinese Poetry Illustration
Contest)〉活動。
綜觀數百年來的中文啟蒙教學，無論受教的孩子生長於何處，都曾接觸過中國古代詩詞，其中包括了《唐詩300首》；同時，孩子們在成長過程中，繪畫又是他們的最愛，喜歡用豐富的色彩和線條繪製出他們純真的想像空間。
我們樂見孩子們用畫筆以形象思維的方式，各自演繹出對中國古代詩詞文字背後所蘊藏涵意的理解。
鑑於《唐詩300首》是海內外中文教育者使用最多的一本教材之一，故此，2015年〈詩藝之星-全美青少年華文詩詞插畫大賽〉的比賽題目是:我最愛的唐詩300首。我們鼓勵參賽的青少年朋友們，從唐詩300首中挑選最喜愛的詩詞，透過「畫筆書寫」的方式，表達出自己對該首詩的認識和體會。
由於這是〈詩藝之星-全美青少年華文詩詞插畫大賽〉的首次舉辦，必定在執行細節上會有安排不周之處。若有任何疏忽情事發生，務請所有參賽者見諒。
